LTA Kicks Off Its 75th Season with our Signature Show!

Rehearsals are held weekday evenings and weekends
Most roles will rehearse approximately 4 times a week.

Please prepare a song similar in style to the show but not from the show. This is your "interview" sing what best shows off your voice.

NOTE:
Auditions are first come, first served. No appointments are necessary.
If you have a black and white headshot and acting resume, you may bring them
with you; all auditionees, however, will be asked to have their picture taken
by the LTA photographer. Character monologues will be available prior to the
audition. Please bring an accurate list of rehearsal conflicts with you to the audition.

1st place winner:
The Mistress of Wholesome
A woman breaks into an upscale apartment. The owner, a cardiologist's wife, finds the break in an unwelcome distraction from an important house guest soon to arrive. Who is she? Why is she there? Why is the guest more important? And what has happened to cardiologist? At the same time suspenseful and witty, this play will keep you on the edge of your seat and roaring with laughter.
Character Descriptions:
Margaret,
late 30s: cardiologist's wife
Gwen,
30s: cardiologist's mistress
Connie Callard,
20s: adoption agent
2nd place winner:
Solitaire
Three men discuss their women troubles over a game of cards. When one man investigates his wife's suspected infidelity, it brings consequences. Will they be able to pacify each other's primal instincts? Will they discover how truly connected their lives really are?
Character Descriptions:
Langham:
60s Dressed in nondescript denim. The realities of life weigh heavily on his mind.
Charlie:
40's Dressed in business attire. Testy, nervous, and stubborn. Looks like Langham's son.
Junior:
20's Dressed casually. Young, naive, and blinded by love. Could be Langham's grandson.
Policeman:
30's to 50's Dressed in uniform. A kind soul, but knows his job and does it well.
NOTE:
This play will be taken to the NVTA One Act festival. Actors must be available for a performance mid-June.
3rd place winner:
A Curious Caper
A young couple returns home late at night to find a thief. The thief is a pleasant, curious man, who engages the victims in a dialogue about a number of subjects, including a failed marriage and the courtesy due a polite burglar. Engagingly funny, watch as the tables get turned on the thief and his unsuspecting partner.
Character Descriptions:
(all in their 20s or 30s):
Quentin:
The Thief. Well mannered, mild tempered, and naturally friendly.
Allen:
The home-owner husband (a struggling lawyer with a new wife)
Mary:
Allen's wife (a career girl from a privileged family)
Baby:
Quentin's spouse and accomplice (an aggressive, angry woman disappointed with herself for settling for the passive Quentin)
